Emidio Pepe Montepulciano 2003, by the glass

"Pepe" was founded in the late nineteenth century when Emidio Pepe, grandfather of the present namesake, found the ideal terroir for the two main Abruzzo grapes in the Torano hills. Handed down from generation to generation, the brand has become a symbol of territorial expression and longevity.
Totally biodynamic, these grapes were hand-picked, pressed by feet, fermented in stone tubs, bottled by hand into demijohns, aged, before finally being decanted into new bottles. The aroma is young, vinous, and evokes scents of fresh fruit, while the palate is dry and soft. This is a wine of great structure and persistency. It's available to purchase from our online shop, or to try by the glass in the enoteca for $20. For more details, click here.
